You cycle past natural monuments and romantically situated moated castles, past mills, Artland farms and old sluices. The “fine weather guarantee” entails that you will be transported to the next stage destination free of charge when there is continuous rainfall. You may select your favourite pillow out of five at the pillow bar in every hotel.

Travel days

1. Day: Arrival - Osnabrück

Individual arrival. Visit the city centre with its proud patrician houses, the half-timbered buildings and the castle.

2. Day: Osnabrück - Bersenbrück (approx. 55 km)

You cycle to Bramsche, known for its linen trade and weaver’s handicraft. Shortly before Bersenbrück, it is worthwhile to take an excursion to the Alfsee.

3. Day: Bersenbrück - Löningen (approx. 55 km)

The path leads you past typical Artland farmhouses and moated castles. In Löningen, you can visit the largest pillar-less hall church in Germany.

4. Day: Löningen - Meppen (approx. 45 km)

You cycle through the typical heath and moorland areas. In Haselünne, the large juniper berry population led to the settlement of several corn distilleries. Later on, you will reach the old fortress city of Meppen, where the Hase mouths into the Ems.

5. Day: Meppen - Lingen (approx. 40 km)

Today you cycle along the Ems. The former fortress city Lingen can be admired as an historic trading place at the crossing of the Ems between Holland and Northern Germany. Your overnight stay Lingen lies in the midst of the Ems landscape, with a panoramic view of the waterfall and the shipping activities.

6. Day: Lingen - Hörstel/Rheine (approx. 55 km)

You continue your journey southwards and will arrive at Salzbergen, which was developed from a pre-Christian settlement and whose fire brigade museum provides insight into the history of fire-fighting.

7. Day: Hörstel - Osnabrück (approx. 45 km)

Today you will travel your last stage through the Tecklenburger country back to Osnabrück.

8. Day: Osnabrück - Departure

Individual departure from Osnabrück.

The Hasetal cycle path runs far from main roads and mainly on asphalted and paved paths and streets without any significant ascents, as well as on forest or field paths in good condition.
