2. Day: Würzburg - Volkach, approx. 50 km
You leave Würzburg and start making your way north. Travelling on bike trails and farming roads, you pass several small villages and reach the Main near Wipfeld. You take a ferry across the river and continue alongside its left shore to Volkach, the heart of the wine-, fruit- and asparagus-producing region of the Volkach Main Loop. You spend the night in Volkach.
3. Day: Volkach - Marktbreit/Ochsenfurt, approx. 39/46 km
Today you have plenty of time to explore the centre of the Franconian Wine Region. A fairly short bike tour takes you first to the lively town of Kitzingen, home to one of Germany’s oldest wine cellars and then on to historical Marktbreit. The pretty, little alleys and imposing town houses of Marktbreit are renowned throughout the region. You spend the night in Marktbreit or Ochsenfurt.
4. Day: Marktbreit/Ochsenfurt - Würzburg, approx. 21/28 km
The final highlight of the trip is the regionally typical truss architecture in Ochsenfurt, one of the last towns you pass on your way to Würzburg. You arrive in Würzburg with plenty of time to take a look at sights. Independent return journey.
