1. Day: Nohfelden

Individual arrival in Nohfelden at Lake Bostal. Upon arrival, explore the Lake Bostal the largest lake for recreational activities with 120 ha in southwestern Germany and an El-Dorado for water sports fans, as well as the spring of the Nahe near Selbach (approx. 9 km). You spend the night in a hotel near the lake.

2. Day: Nohfelden - Idar-Oberstein, approx. 40 km

The Nahe winds its way between the Hunsrück and the North Palatine Mountains in several loops. You start out alongside the river to Neubrücke. Here, you leave the river in its narrow valley and pass by Birkenfeld before returning to the Nahe in Kronweiler. With a few short climbs you arrive in Idar-Oberstein, where you should visit the interesting museum of valuable stones and gems. Finish the day with a “Spießbraten”, a local specialty.

3. Day: Idar-Oberstein - Bad Münster am Stein-Ebernburg, approx. 60 km

Today’s pleasant tour takes you to the wine region around the Nahe and to Bad Sobernheim. The first spa invites you to visit the open-air museum, the “Barefoot Trail” and the historical town centre. Between the Glan estuary and the Nahe Loop you will see Disiboden Mountain, with its convent ruins reminiscent of Hildegard of Bingen. In Oberhausen you bike up to the former vineyards of Niederhausen-Schloßböckelheim, where an amazing view makes up for the strenuous climb. Via Rotenfels you reach Bad Münster am Stein-Ebernburg with its historical “Kurmittelhaus”, the Rheingrafenstein and the impressive Salinas.

4. Day: Bad Münster am Stein-Ebernburg - Bingen, approx. 21 km

You cycle past graduation towers and through the Saline Valley to Bad Kreuznach, the largest and most traditional spa town in the Nahe region. The Knight’s Estate Bangert with the Roman Hall, the Castle grounds Museum and the Puppet Museum invite you to visit. From here it is not far to the extensive meadows of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Upper Middle Rhine Valley and the town of Bingen, where the Nahe meets the Rhine. Individual departure.

We can book extra nights in Bingen or Nohfelden for you.
