1. Day: Constance
Individual arrival in Constance. Enjoy the mediterranean climate by a stroll through the narrow alleys of the old town or by a cappuccino in one of the numerous cafés. Visit the Sea Life Center (included in the jubilee package) and discover the council. Let the day end with a glass of wine from the Lake Constance-region. Overnight in Constance.
2. Day: Constance – Rielasingen/ Gottmadingen/Surroundings, approx. 43/ 49 km
Through picturesque fishing villages you cycle to Stein am Rhein alongside the Swiss part of the Untersee. The monastery museum in the medieval city as well as community houses with its gorgeously painted facade will impress you. Through Biber Valley or Schaffhausen with the Rhine falls you reach the Hegau which gone out volcano cones you can see far away. Overnight in Rielasingen, Gottmadingen or in the near surroundings.
3. Day: Rielasingen/ Gottmadingen/Surroundings – Eigeltingen/ Steißlingen/Surroundings, approx. 33/ 44 km
You continue along the river Aach and pass Singen and Hohentwiel, location of Germany´s largest castle ruin. Take yourselve 2-3 hours to climb this mountain. The panorama and the extended fortress are really impressive. You then pass the castle ruin of Hohenkrähen, Mägdeberg and Hohenwehen as well as the medieval mountain town Engen. After an extensive stroll by the masterfully restored oldest part of the town the route leads to the Aachquelle, the strongest water source of Germany. In the castle Langenstein you should visit the Fasnachtmuseum. Overnight in Eigeltingen, Steißlingen or in the near surroundings.
4. Day: Eigeltingen/ Steißlingen/Surroundings – Lake Überlinger, approx. 28 – 50 km
Today you can visit the castle Homburg. After an increase you have a wonderful view on the Hegau as well as on the near Lake Constance. Through old fruit meadows you cycle to Ludwigshafen (Lake Constance). Alongside the lake you continue to Sipplingen. Passing the imperial city of Überlingen which seafront promenade shows mediterranean atmosphere you reach the baroque monastic church of Birnau. Depending on the overnight stay you pass the famous lake dwellings near Unteruhldingen this afternoon or the next morning. Overnight in Überlingen oder Uhldingen.
5. Day: Lake Überlinger – Constance, approx. 10 - 25 km
From Uhldingen you follow the lakeside trail to Meersburg. Plan some time for this probably nicest city in the region. The new castle and the old castle high over the vineyards rise over the alleys of the picturesque oldest part of the town. The car ferry takes you back to Constance (included in the jubilee package). Now you have time for sightseeing in Constance again. Individual departure.
