Emperor’s Chair), a small mountain range of volcanic origin.

This bike tour along the Mosel River is not only for wine lovers. The countryside around the Mosel is one of Europe’s most beautiful river valleys – you bike past several picturesque river loops, vineyards, romantic wine making towns, medieval castles and historical towns. The area has an especially mild climate is an important refuge for rare plants and animals like Apollo butterflies, wall lizards, the rock maple and the gagea bohemica. The inhabitants of the French-, German- and Luxemburg Mosel regions have been working together since early history to develop the river as an effective trade route and proved to the rest of the world that peaceful cooperation is possible internationally. This is still reflected in their openness and hospitality. Locked doors are very uncommon in Mosel Country. Many guest economies, mostly allow solid stone or truss and recreaction breaks are on offer to enjoy the regional culinary specialties and light wine with a lot of leisure.

Lahn Bike Trail

From Marburg to Koblenz

The Lahn River follows a winding path through extensive valleys, narrows gorges in the Taunus and Westerwald Mountains and past romantic old villages in the fairy tale country that was home to the Brothers Grimm. The towns of the Lahn Valley are known for their truss architecture and narrow alleys with quirky restaurants and bars, as well as imposing castles that oftentimes sit majestically above the river.
