From Mantua to Venice
You explore the Po Plain between Mantua and Venice by bike and boat. Through mostly rural areas you cycle along rivers and canals until you reach the highlight of the trip: the Venice Lagoon.

Itinerary
1. Day: Mantua
Independent arrival in Mantua. Boarding from 4 pm onwards. Your boat is anchored in a central location. Visit the Roman cathedral, the renaissance church and the Palazzo Ducale.
2. Day: Mantua - Zelo, approx. 50 km
In the morning you travel by boat to an ancient home of river pirates, Governolo. You start your first bike tour where the Mincio River meets the Po. Along the Po you cycle to Ostiglia and on to Bergantina. Here you can visit the Roundabout Museum and try the produce of a local cheese factory. You continue along the Canal Bianco to Zelo, where your boat is waiting.
3. Day: Zelo - Adria, approx. 50 km
You cycle to Ferrara. The town is know as Italy’s most bike friendly city and you should take the opportunity to sight see by bike in the historical town centre. You then catch a bus to Adria, a formerly Greek seaside town.
5. Day: Albarella - Chioggia, approx. 40 km
Starting in Albarella, you spend the morning biking between the Po- Delta and the River Etsch. You have reached Venice province! Along the Po-Brondolo canal you continue to Chioggia, where you have an amazing view over the lagoon.
6. Day: Chioggia - Venedig, approx. 30 km
You should definitely visit the fish market in Chioggia in the morning! Later, you take the boat to Ca’ Roman, a sandy peninsula covered with pine trees. Via Peelestrina you reach the ferry dock and the Lido of Venice, which separates the lagoon from open water. You spend the night on the island Giudecca, near the Piazza San Marco.
7. Day: Free day
You have all day to explore the sights and attractions of Venice: the historical town centre, the churches and palaces or the glassblowers’ island Murano.
8. Day: Independent return journey
You leave the boat by 10:00 am.
Please note that the route runs the other way round with nearly identical development (from Venice to Mantua) during all even weeks. Accordingly, the first tour starts on Saturday, March 24, in Venice. Identic prices and services.
