No other part of the Danube has so rich a variety of landscapes, cultural monuments and historical points of interest. Quiet valleys, fertile plains, steep vineyards, charming farms and grand convent buildings make for interesting wayside attractions. The Danube loop in Schlögen, Melk Abbey and the Wachau area are just a few of the highlights of this trip.

From the Krimml Water Falls to Passau, the Three River City
The well marked bike trail leads from Krimml to Passau and descends 760 m. The route follows the rivers Salzach and Inn and is mostly even, except for some few, short climbs.

You travel through colourful meadows, fields and pretty villages and pass numerous water forts, castles and mansions. The routes are very well marked and allow for occasional independent side trips.
